Scriptures....God is Able

So many times, we are just exhausted.  Overwhelmed.  We just feel like we can't get our head above water. And we look around and everyone else is smiling, laughing, life is good for them...why not me? We know that is not really the truth.  That others are struggling as well.  That if we were to sit down with them and ask them.....they would say, if they were honest, that they feel the same way.

So here we are, on Palm Sunday.  In recognition of a God who came to earth for us.  A King who rode to his ultimate death on a donkey.  He came to serve in order to give us life. He has gone through it all. And he knows all that we go through.  He has counted every hair on our head.  So when you are down and out.  Please recognize, that you are human.  You are not the only one struggling.  You cannot get out of your pit by yourself. Don't try.  If you are a Christian, look to Jesus and hold on tight.  He is able...let Him pull you out.

If you have not yet put your faith in Christ.  Will you take a leap and try?  If you try and you decide it is not for you, what have you lost? Even most people will give vitamins a solid 3 months to see if it will work.  If you simply acknowledge that you have made mistakes and that you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, what have you gained, but eternal life?  I'd say eternity is worth going in on at least a 3 month trial, yes?

So our current topic is GOD IS ABLE.  May you see through these scriptures that the God you have chosen, the one and only God, Jesus Christ our Lord, is able.  You may not be able to handle what you are going through.....but with God, all things are possible.

  • And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Cor 9:8
  • Now all Glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  Eph 3:20 NLT
  • I lift my eyes up to the mountains--where does my help come from?  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.  Ps 121:1-2
  • Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  IS 40:30-31
  • The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with his singing.  Zep 3:17 (online)
  • I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Ps 40:1-3
  • Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  Jn 14:27
  • So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  IS 41:10
