Helpful Tip(s) - To Stay Healthy

Happy New Year!  It is a balmy 33 degrees right now and flu season is underway.  I am not a doctor, but with my injury, sickness is my enemy.  My sweetie and I searched (through doctors and research) to find some things to help us stay healthy.  Here are the items we use:
1) L-Lysine: 500 mg (we currently have solgar brand); to improve immune system.  We use it all through the cold and flu season to keep sickness away and we have also found it helps to speed up recovery
2) Emergen-C: 1,000 mg Vitamin C (we use super orange)
3) Purell: we apply immediately after getting in the car from stores, visiting friends, etc. anywhere we might pick up a virus or bacteria (I know some people don't believe in this - we find it helpful)
4) Added: keep your hands away from your face, especially your eyes and mouth: easy entry points for bacteria
5) Added: at the hint of a sore throat, gargle with Listerine, multiple times a day.  A second option is to dilute hydrogen peroxide with water by 50%.

Again, these are just things we have found that help us.  They may or may not help you, but I wanted to share, in case they did. :)  I pray each of you have a happy and healthy 2015!
